The Lake of Stars organisers, volunteers, and community members rolled up their sleeves for a clean up campaign in preparation for the event to be conducted from 17 - 19 October in Nkhotakota district.
Starting from Fish Eagle Bay Lodge in the morning, the group swept their way to Sani School, removing litter and spreading messages of environmental responsibility.
Placards carried during the campaign bore waste management messages, while participants encouraged each other to keep the environment safe ahead of the much-anticipated festival.
Organisers said the initiative reflects the festival’s broader mission beyond music, building community, protecting culture, and conserving the environment.
The event was joined by among others officials from Nkhotakota district council and primary school students from various nearby primary schools.
