The United Transformation Movement (UTM), President Dr. Dalitso Kabambe says once voted into power on September 16, he will reintroduce the fertilizer subsidy program as a way of revamping agricultural systems in the country.
Dr. Kabambe reiterated that his government will ensure that fertilizer and maize seeds are sold for less than K50,000 and K30,000, respectively.
He emphasizes that this initiative aims to ensure the country’s food security and reveals plans to reopen the maize silos that the country has.
He was speaking at Kawamba trading centre, where he was concluding his whistle tours in Kasungu.
